Truth & Reconciliation Day Breakfast, Blessing & Walk
On Wednesday, September 30, the McDougall Stoney Mission Society will host a community breakfast and blessing at Historic Morleyville, followed by the Every Child Matters Walk to Mînî Thnî.

11:00 am - Every Child Matters Walk to Mînî Thnî (2.8 km)
A community program with appreciation speakers, Powwow dancing and a BBQ will follow at Morley Community Church.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a food donation for the Îyârhe Nakoda Food Bank.
Please dress for the weather.

12 p.m. Opening smudge, opening circle, and remarks from Stoney Nakoda leadership, Chiefs, Mayor, and invited representatives in the artsPlace Theatre
1-4 p.m. Pop-up exhibition by Authentically Curated, orange t-shirt sales, educational resources from the Canmore Library, bannock, and more
1:30-3 p.m. Îyethka (Stoney Nakoda) Language Discussion and Learning: Learn basic Stoney words and phrases and about Indigenous language preservation work being done on the Stoney Nakoda Nation. Join Terry Rider and Corey Telfer in the artsPlace Theatre. Register here.
NEW! 2:30-3:30 p.m. Beaded Dreamcatcher Tipi Workshop in the Visual Arts Studio. Îyethka (Stoney Nakoda) artists Jarron Poucette and Kyle Kaquitts will share a bit about their culture and how to make this unique craft. All materials will be provided. Beginners welcome!
