This event is free to attend! Whether you're a new performer or a seasoned artist (or you just want to watch), you're welcome to join.
Bring your own instruments and be welcome to play the beautiful artsPlace grand piano! Enjoy the artsPlace cabaret set-up and sit with your friends in a cozy cafe-style seating to appreciate the performances.
The event will be hosted by SallieMae (they/them) and Lanny Chep (they/them). SallieMae and Lanny are musicians who also co-run Baklabayan YYC, a 2SLGBTQIA+ Filipina/o/x Artist Collective in Calgary.
WHO IS THIS EVENT FOR:
This event is open to all ages, but performances may include strong language and mature themes. We recommend the event for ages 14+ and encourage parents, caretakers, and attendees to use their discretion.
2SLGBTQIA+ community members and allies are welcome to attend. As this event is intended to create space for queer and trans community members to share, connect, and celebrate together, we ask allies to be mindful of this purpose and to prioritize space for 2SLGBTQIA+ folks, both as performers and audience members, if capacity is limited.
You do not need to perform to attend.
