Want to help sustain and enhance Canmore Pride’s work in the community? Our working Board of Directors plays an active role, and we are seeking additional Board members to help guide the organization through a period of transition and growth!

Overview of Board Responsibilities:
The Board supports community programming, the annual Canmore Pride Festival, and advocacy work through the Bow Valley Pride Network, while providing oversight, accountability, policy development, and strategic direction.
Board work will include attending monthly board meetings, committee meetings, and independent work between meetings (flexible hours) in collaboration with the Executive Director.
Allies are welcome to apply, with a maximum of three ally members on the Board to ensure 2SLGBTQIA+ voices remain centred. Previous board experience is not required but is considered an asset. We will be prioritizing those who live or work in Canmore, although this is not a requirement.

If you meet some of the criteria for a role (but not all), we encourage you to apply! We’re seeking dedicated board volunteers who are passionate about making a difference for queer and trans people in Canmore.
Time Commitment: 8-12 hours per month (up to 20 hours during the month of the Pride Festival). This includes a monthly 2-hour in-person board meeting in Canmore. Hours are flexible, with board meetings on weekday evenings.
Term length: 2 years
All Canmore Pride Board members are volunteer positions.
