LOCATION: Canmore Civic Centre (indoors/outdoors) and Rotary Friendship Park (outdoors)
This event will happen rain or shine. The Pancake Breakfast and other activities are happening in Rotary Friendship Park (outdoors) and inside the Canmore Civic Centre. We will move to the front of the Canmore Civic Centre (outdoors) for the speeches and flag raising.
Please note: there is construction as the washrooms across from the Canmore Civic Centre are being renovated. We are working with the town to put a pause on the construction during the speeches and flag raising portion of the event.
SCHEDULE:
10 AM - 12:30 PM: Pancakes
10 AM - 1 PM: Market and 2SLGBTQIA+ service providers booths. Plus pop-up performances with Beau Valley Circus. Craft booths at
1 PM - 2 PM: Speeches + Flag Raising
2 PM - 2:30 PM: Pride March

ABOUT THE EVENT:
We welcome EVERYONE to our Pride Block Party. Join us for a day of all things pride including:
A free pancake breakfast with the Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) from 10 AM to 12:30 PM
A queer maker’s market and 2SLGBTQIA+ services fair from 10 AM to 1 PM
Drop-in craft activities for all ages (kids, youth, and adults)
Pop-up performances with the Beau Valley Circus.
Speeches, flag raising, and pride march from 1 PM onwards

REGISTRATION: No registration. Drop-in at anytime.
ACCESSIBILITY INFO:
This event will be held indoors/outdoors, rain or shine. Please make sure to wear appropriate clothing. Tables and chairs will be available during the pancake breakfast. Chairs will also be available during the speeches/flag raising. Both Rotary Friendship Park and the Canmore Civic Centre are wheelchair accessible.
The pride march route has specifically been chosen with accessibility in mind, and the entire route is wheelchair accessible. The route does involve a mixture of going through the Civic Centre and outdoor walkways/roads. There will be volunteer marshalls on-site who will be managing foot traffic while providing assistance to anyone who may need the extra support.
Volunteers will be wearing volunteer lanyards.
This event is at a wheelchair accessible venue and washrooms are accessible as well.
Gendered washrooms are available in the Civic Centre. They are wheelchair accessible.
Closest bus stop is: 9th st Canmore, behind artsPlace. It is 210 m from the venue space.
GETTING HERE:
BY CAR: There is a paid parking lot around 8th street (downtown) including limited accessible parking spots. Parking is $5 per hour from 8 AM to 8 PM. Visitors with a valid Resident Parking Permit can park for up to 3 hours daily in Town of Canmore paid zones.

There is no parking fee for accessible parking stalls within the paid parking zones.BY BUS WITHIN CANMORE: The Canmore Roam service features three routes that are FREE for all. Please visit this website for more information on routes and schedules.
BY BUS FROM BANFF: Roam Transit’s Canmore-Banff Regional Route 3 provides transportation between Downtown Canmore and Downtown Banff. Fares: $6 for one-way, $15 for day pass.
To make the festival accessible, Roam Transit is offering free one-way bus passes between Canmore and Banff. Please our festival page for more information.BY TAXI: Three Sisters Taxi is partnering with the Canmore Pride Festival to offer FREE taxi rides to help attendees get to and from events safely! Taxi rides are limited to Canmore town bounds (including Three Sisters). Ask any volunteer during the festival for a free taxi voucher.
