Skipping Stone is partnering with Canmore Pride Society and Banff Pride Society to bring youth from the Bow Valley to Queer Youth Prom in Calgary on Friday, May 8th!
We are hiring a mini-bus and have spots for up to 12 youth from Banff, Canmore, or Mînî Thnî. Please fill out this form by Friday, May 1st at midnight if you need a ride! (We will send you an email to confirm your spot).
2SLGBTQ+ youth and allies are welcome.

Two Canmore Pride adult volunteers who are part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community will be chaperoning the event.
Tentative Schedule*:
4 PM: Pickup from Banff (Behind the High School)
4:30 PM: Pickup from Canmore (Canmore Recreation Centre Parking Lot)
5 PM: Pick up from Mînî Thnî (Stoney Tribal Hockey Arena & Gymnasium)
5 PM- 6 PM: Mini prom photoshoot with our volunteer photographer
6 PM-7 PM: Travel to Calgary
7 PM - 10 PM: Queer Youth Prom
10 PM: Leave Calgary to return to Banff, Canmore, Mînî Thnî

"Join us, Skipping Stone, for a magical night at the Queer Youth Prom!
Hey friends!
Our annual Queer Youth Prom is a free, registration-only night of music, dancing, and genuine belonging created for 2SLGBTQIA+ and ally youth 17 and under who deserve a prom that actually feels like theirs.
This year's theme is Queerly Natural. Think enchanted forest energy, soft glowing lights, and a space that feels as layered, joyful and alive as you are. Nature, and all of us with it, are always evolving, growing and becoming exactly as it as meant to, and this night is here to celebrate every bit of that.
Whether you want to dance all night, wander the space with your people, or just soak in a room full of folks who get it, this prom is for you. Come in your favourite outfit, bring your friends, and get ready for a night of laughter, connection, and memories worth keeping.
We’re so excited to celebrate a night full of queer joy with you all.
Youth Queer Prom – TL;DR
