Breakfast Club: Bike Maintenance

Time: 10 AM to 12 PM (Please arrive for 10 AM)

When you arrive:
Talk to front desk - tell them you are here for the Canmore Pride event.
Turn right to walk down the hall.
On the right side of the hall, go to the room labelled “Craft Kitchen” (see photos).
Canmore Pride Society and Community Cruisers are teaming up to offer a free bike maintenance workshop as part of our Breakfast Club program.
Breakfast Club is a community-led skillsharing program of Canmore Pride.
This month's workshop is a hands-on bike maintenance workshop. The workshop will include three different stations, each covering a helpful skill including:
Changing a tire and keeping your tires inflated.
Oiling your chain and learning about how a drive train works on a bike.
Learning how brakes work and different types of brakes!

What you need to know:
This is a small event (capped at 12 participants + caregivers as needed)
All bikes are welcome (gravel, road, cruisers, mountain bikes and e-bikes). Bring your bike, or work on the the demonstration bikes provided by Community Cruisers.
Community Cruisers will bring all required supplies for the workshop
This workshop is led by Community Cruisers volunteers and board members, a combination of queer folks and allies who have completed 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion training.
Coffee, tea, juice, and light pastries (contain gluten) are provided.

Who can attend: This is open to everyone including 2SLGBTQIA+ people and allies, ages 14+.

Registration: This event is free or by-donation. Recommended donation is $10, but there is no pressure to donate.

The event will take place in the Craft Kitchen at Origin at Spring Creek.

Accessibility:
There will be tables with chairs to sit on.
The venue is a senior’s centre - meaning it is wheelchair accessible with large hallways.
All doorways are wide and wheelchair friendly.
Front door is automatic.
Washrooms are singe-user, gendered (male and female) and wheelchair accessible. Please use whichever washroom you feel more comfortable with. Washrooms are located directly across the hall from the room.
There is overhead lighting in the room.
Noise levels: low to medium. There will be background music playing quietly. We can turn it off if requested.

Getting here:
There is plenty of free street parking is available in the Spring Creek area (2 hours max). However, we encourage you to walk/bike/roll or take public transit to the venue if it is accessible for you.
